Personal green travel tips from bloggers
Last week we shared how sustainable travel plays an important role for bloggers. Authentic experiences, getting to know foreign cultures and the encountering with locals are all great (and important!) reasons for a green trip.
As individual the sustainable initiatives of the hotels are, so are also the experiences that bloggers make during their trips. You are heading some place yourself soon and may need some tips and inspiration? Our bloggers probably have the right secret tip for you.
Each trip starts with the packing. And Petra from Hollightly likes to think of her readers and offers them a complete guide on what to pack for your sustainable trip!
Katja and Eileen from Travelettes discovered a true paradise for themselves on Ko Samui, the Tongsai Bay. “Please excuse, while I am in paradise the following days” were her first words on Instagram.
Susi from Black Dots White Spots writes, how Zeavola Resort changed her view about Ko Phi Phi into something magical.
Dawn from The Incidental Tourist visited four different and sustainable destinations in Thailand that all had their individual charm.
Also the mothers among you are looking for a special place to take-off from being a mom. Camilla from Mummy Mag did exactly that with a friend, a mummy tour throughout Liguria. There she discovered the Relais del Maro, “It is surrounded with much heart, responsibility and flooded with incredibly much love.” and the L’Adagio, where she learned about the production of olive oil and at the same time found many local souvenirs to bring back home.
For Katharina from Lilies Diary, the trip went directly into the Malaysian rainforest, where the Belum Rainforest Resort nestles and Katharina experienced many great new things (alone the travels there were exciting!)
How to get rosy cheeks and what else you can experience in the Berchtesgadener Land around Berghotel Rehlegg, you can find out from Dorothee at The Touristin.
Susie from Oreeko took a complete green Austria tour and discovered many different green aspects along the way. From the Gradonna Mountain Resort in Kals “(…) that is surrounded by forests and mountains” to the Bachgut Resort, where the energy is won to 100% out of renewable energy.
Sustainably culinary it was for Dani and Michael from Flowers on my Plate. There, they learned how easy it is to make the famous herb drink at home, peeled apples together with other guests for the traditional apple strudle and collected herbs for a delicious herb pesto.
A real love for Nadine – a bathtub in the middle of the suite.
In Lisbon, Nadine and her family from Planet Hibbel had the best sleep of her life and fell in love with a bathtub.
A romantic and magical winter weekend with her partner is what Michaela from Transglobal Pan Party in Lower Bavaria at Hofgut Hafnerleiten experienced, where even her dog had a great time. And she also learned, how knives are actually there to cut.
What is your personal favorite experience that you had while traveling green?
