First ADLER Hiking Half Marathon on October 4, 2022

In autumn the wavy landscape of the Ritten plateau releases a special magic: Yellow and orange glow the trees, from the yards it smells of roasted chestnuts and the taste of young wine is on the tongue.

The ADLER Lodge RITTEN wants to offer exactly this to its guests this year and invites to the first ADLER hiking half marathon. The trail runs for 21 kilometers through chestnut groves in the Eisack Valley, past historic farms and through a diverse natural and cultural landscape.

In between the traditional Buschenschänken offer numerous opportunities to stop and discover the South Tyrolean cuisine. Törggelen is the name of the tradition of tasting young wine, must and roasted chestnuts. In addition, there are of course traditional dishes such as Knödeltris or Schüttelbrot.

The tour starts directly at the lodge. Along the Keschtenweg the route leads to Villanders. Unlike a real half marathon, however, it doesn't matter who arrives first. It's all about hiking, nature and enjoying South Tyrolean traditions.

Participation in the hiking half marathon can also be combined with a short vacation at the ADLER Lodge RITTEN. Click here for the offer.
