Creativhotel Luise opens 24-hour food vending machine

"With our freely accessible vending machine, we have closed a gap in local supply," says the owner of the Creativhotel Luise Ben Förtsch on presenting the new vending machine. "MargaLädla - der Schlemmerschuppen" now offers fresh food and convenience products from the region 24/7. This is a real plus for the residents of Erlangen's Zentrum-Ost district, which until now has had to get by without a local supply.

According to Förtsch the idea was immediately met with enthusiastic approval by the residents. Many senior citizens, but also students, populate the district and are happy about the shorter distances for self-supply with organic, fairly produced and regional food.

The construction of the vending machine, including the security technology and the weatherproof wooden shed, was funded by the city of Erlangen and supported by numerous local sponsors. The daily stocking, maintenance and running costs such as electricity are covered by the Creativhotel Luise.
