The hotel disposes of 42 cozy rooms and vacation apartments. With a booking in the hotel or in the pension a delicious organic breakfast buffet is included. Vacation apartment guests can optionally book the buffet, use the bread roll service or self-cater. Children’s setup with baby phone, bathtub, etc. can be provided (baby crib for an extra charge).

Riding holiday at Lake Constance

Vacation with the own horse is a dream of many riders. On the Gerbehof spacious guest boxes, paddocks and fields are available for this purpose.

The Gerbehof has been climate-positive certified by fokus Zukunft since 2021.

All furnishings have been built exclusively with local wood from the hotel’s own forest, including the doors and floors.
The majority of the furnishings were hand carpentered at the farm.
The lobby area floor is made of marble, as it is one of the most durable rocks.
The nature indoor spa area is lined with silver quartzite, which has proven healing benefits. It derives from the world’s only quarry in South Tyrol.
Other materials used, such as rocks and stones, originate from the nearby Rhine estuary.

The wood (from the own forest) is so-called beetle wood, timber that was infested by the bark beetle or wood from the own, cleared fruit trees and Miscantus from the own field.

Maximum reduction of waste
Waste that can be composted, such as coffee grounds, tea grounds, napkins, eggshells, general decomposable items are disposed of in horse manure. This will be spread to manure the meadows and fruit trees after rotting. A complete circle.
Glass and paper are collected and taken to the landfill for recyclable materials.
Yellow Bag (green point) is collected by the municipal works. The amount is very low, however, because when shopping, care is taken to buy as few packaged products as possible or to deliver them in recyclable containers.
Bottles are mainly deposit bottles.
A small proportion of residual waste is taken to the landfill site and paid for by weight

100% organic certified food and beverages
The water is supplied by the St. Leonhard springs, which it has tested according to the principle of Dr. Masuro Emoto.
Foods are mostly sourced from surrounding organic producers in the Lake Constance area.
The hosts consider it important to know the farmers and producers as well as the farms personally. The principal farm-to-table guarantees fresh food, strengthens organic small businesses and farms and the added value remains locally.

Sponsorship of the Health Days for “Kinder im Sternenland” – a project of the Viktor Philippi Foundation for Health. The program enables the treatment of sick children in a loving, child-friendly environment using the Philippi method. Children up to 5 years old are being treated free of charge. Every donation supports the project.
Guests can waive the daily cleaning and for every not done four Euros will be donated to the children’s project “Kinder im Sternenland”.
Besides private donations and the money from declined daily cleanings, the whole revenue from water sales in the restaurant is passed on 1:1. On the homepage is also a donation account set up.
