History & Philosophy

In 1810 Josef Anton Sanoner opened the hotel “Der Adler” in Ortisei. The resulting ADLER hotel group is now run by the seventh generation. Since then, tradition and innovation have successfully merged and the Sanoner family is considered a pioneer of the hotel industry in the Alpine region.

The focus is on selected locations, unique outdoor and spa experiences, and culinary highlights. The sustainable hotel group pays a lot of attention to protecting the nature around the hotels. Sustainable supply chains and construction methods are therefore an integral part of the company’s approach.
