History and Philosophy
The Kneisl family, that is, Ronald, Martina, Monika and Stefanie Kneisl, are passionate mountaineers. The family is very close to nature and loves the mountains with their typical flora and fauna.

Therefore, their goal was to capture the beauty of the mountains and the Alps in their chalets and apartments. For this reason, they decided to take over the business, which has already existed for 40 years, and expand it in 2018/2019 with 2 chalets and 4 vacation apartments. In doing so, they have deliberately opted for a traditional construction method that blends seamlessly into the alpine landscape.
The name Kneisl has been a household name in the hospitality scene in Sölden for decades. It started with Ronald’s grandparents, who ran the “Jausenstation Grünwald” back then. In 1976, Ronald’s parents built the bed and breakfast “Melisande”, which was converted into apartments in 2015. Since Martina and Ronald Kneisl themselves live very close to nature and the alpine habitat is one of the most beautiful places for them, the environmentally friendly design of the chalets and vacation apartments was very important to them.
