The Story behind Landgut Stober
Around 1800, the District Authority Peter Alexander von Itzenplitz had a mansion built by the “Großes Behnitzer See”. In 1866, due to persistent mismanagement and high indebtedness the property was passed over to the Borsig family.
Under the direction of Albert Borsig the mansion was enlarged by further buildings and was transformed into a model agricultural enterprise, that worked with the most modern technologies.
