Taking more time for oneself and to eat better: resolutions to the new year are made fast and unfortunately often forgotten as fast as well. But actually, it is not a bad idea to press a reset button at the beginning of the year and start the new 12 months fresh and healthy.

Healthy Lifestyle like at Keemala
There are many good reasons to live a healthy lifestyle. You feel more fit, are more reliable and simply just feel better. Especially at the beginning of the year, many diet and detox programs hit the media, thereby these are mostly only short-term. Green Clean
Ingredients (for 1 glass): 1/4 piece of fennel, 1 large cucumber, 1 handful of baby spinach, 1 stalk of celery, 1 piece of lady smith apple, 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds (soak in filtered water overnight), 1 tablespoon of macadamia nuts (also soak in filtered water overnight)
How to make it
1. Soak all fresh ingredients in a vegetable wash or apple cider vinegar bath for 5-10 minutes. Remove and rinse.
2. Chop the fresh ingredients in medium sized pieces.
3. Take out all sunflower seeds and macadamia nuts from the water and rinse well.
4. Add all ingredients into a juicer and run it through.
5. Serve immediately.
A Vegetable Garden to Drink
On the top of the roof of the Milan Hotel Milano Scala, there is a small organic herb garden, from which ingredients for the hotel’s restaurant dishes come regularly. Of course, the hotel in the fashion capital lays a large focus on well-being and has a fitting drink.
Cucumber, spinach and cabbage are all rich of phytonutrients, which function anti-oxidising, immune-stimulating and anticoagulant. With the ginger, exactly these functions are enhanced.
Ingredients (for one glass): 4 cups spinach, 6 leaves of cabbage, 1 cucumber, a bit of parsley, a bit coriander, a bit ginger and a spritz of lemon juice
How to make it: Blend everything well together and add a spritz of lemon juice at the end.
A Green Soup for the Soul
On some days, especially when it is still cold, you may crave a good soup. Our blogger friends Flowers On My Plate have a delicious broccoli green cabbage soup to offer!
A real fresh soup that through all the good ingredients and vitamins ensures you getting past the cold season!
Ingredients (for 3-4 servings): 1 onion, 4 garlic cloves, 1 dash of Cayenne pepper, 400g broccoli (frozen), 300g green cabbage (frozen), 1 dash of nutmeg (freshly grounded), 1 liter of water or vegetable stock, olive oil, salt and pepper
Ingredients for the soup additions: 600g cooked chickpeas, 3 tbsp tahini, 3 tbsp olive oil, juice from a lemon, a small handful of parsley, salt and pepper, sour cream or yoghurt
How to make it
1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic, afterwards braise lightly.
2. Add broccoli, cabbage, cayenne pepper and nutmeg and cast with either water or vegetable broth.
3. Let it cook on a low heat until everything is evenly cooked.
4. Blend finely and keep warm.
5. Cut the parsley small.
6. Mix chickpeas with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and the parsley.
If you like, you can add a small helping of sour creme or yogurt on top (for the vegan option: just leave it go). Simply add the chickpeas and ready is the green soup.
