When love becomes sustainable…
It is that time of the year again: the wedding season is around the corner. Location, food, honeymoon – there is so much that needs to be organized. Sustainable is the idea of marriage by itself. But to design the most beautiful day of the life more sustainable, there are wedding and honeymoon locations that are not only beautiful, but also operate sustainably. You would like to wisely invest your wedding budget and experience an unforgettable wedding with wow effect? Green Pearls® shows where to go.
Phom rak khun – I love you!
Some couples would like to celebrate the best day of their lives in exotic seclusion. If this appeals to you, Keemala Beyond Enchanting Resort offers the right setting for you. In the middle of an almost untouched rain forest close to Phuket, the 38 villas and cottages are virtually integrated into the surrounding nature and almost look like bird’s nests. The design was developed carefully to preserve the surrounding ecosystem. To not affect the picture of the scenery and remain the fantastic view of the mountain landscape, the construction of high buildings was deliberately renounced. As a just married couple, you can enjoy signature treatments in the spa, and try Yoga, Pilates or Thaiboxing and a run path in the midst of the jungle. In the evenings, you can get spoilt in the romantic Mala restaurant or enjoy your dinner in the intimate atmosphere of your own terrace with a gorgeous view over the Andaman Sea.
Take your Habbibi into the mountains
Mike McHugo fell in love for the first time in 1972 – with the beautiful country of Morocco. During a visit years later, Mike discovered an old Kasbah, just 60 kilometers away from Marrakech, which used to be the summer residence of a local monarch. In order to invest in Morocco’s economic and social development, Mike bought the building together with his brother Chris and turned it into a hospitality property. In 1995, Kasbah du Toubkal opened its doors for guests. The house was restored in a traditional design and Hajj Maurice, a respected member of the local community and outstanding mountain guide, manages the hotel together with his wife Hajja Arkia in a traditional, warm-hearted style. The unique building within the Atlas Mountains has 17 rooms, thereof three family rooms. Why not celebrate a traditional Berber wedding, whereby the family is not only accommodated over night, but also invited to experience nature and culture during a trekking tour. Such experiences are memorable moments that bond the family! And the small community profits as well, which is a real concern for Mike.
A wedding at the biosphere reserve Spreewald
Spreewald – this reminds of childhood. Canoe- and biking tours with the family, bathing fun, fairytale landscape and of course the yummy Spreewald gherkins. Maybe the right place to say I do. At the green beach of the river Spree you will find the charming Hotel Strandhaus Boutique Resort & Spa. Far way from bustling cities, it is the right place to peacefully celebrate how love becomes sustainable. The hotel provides 20 rooms and suites and is known for its special cuisine. There is a strong focus on naturalness, not only when it comes to wellness- and cosmetic products. The house was built by local craftsmen only, the culinary ingredients are delivered exclusively from regional producers. Of course, on your big day, the beauty and massage team is on a stand-by mode. And while you get prepared, the small ones of the family can have fun in nature, as there is lush greenery and splashing water as far as the eye can see. And while the kids join an organized treasure hunt, the adults have time to chat over some coffee and homemade cakes. The day after the wedding celebration, a solid breakfast and treatments from the Spa will help curing the hangover.
Conscious Renewal of Vows in Nepal
You would like to renew your wedding vows after many years of marriage? You are completely in vogue! A simple ceremony, free of traditions, an intimate consent for the rest of your lives – The Himalayas and the spiritual Nepal provide the perfect scenery for it. A place of peace and deceleration seems to be ideal for an intimate vow, far away from the hectic everyday life. The Pavilions Himalayas Boutique Resort is located between Phewa Lake and Pokhara. Surrounded by organic farm land, forested hills and a mountain river, one feels immediately comfortable in the luxurious eco villas. Here, respect for nature is first priority. At Chitwan Nationalpark, rhinoceros, crocodiles, elephants and with a bit of luck even a Bengal tiger can be observed in the wild. Next to yoga and meditation offers, hikes to the monastery or learning of Nepalese cooking, the resort foregoes entertainment deliberately. Balm for the soul!
