Adventure holidays in the Peruvian jungle

Bringing the whole family to a vacation in the rain forests sounds unbelievable, right? For your extraordinary and adventurous holiday you don’t need to be a back packer: the Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica in the Peruvian Jungle offers special workshops just for kids: by playing and experimenting they learn about species diversity as well as nature conservation. Together with their own child travel guide they plan jungle tours according to their interests, their length of stay and the weather conditions.

Fresh mountain air and individual discovery tours

Spend a varied holiday at the hotel Outside in South Tyrol: hikes, pony riding or bike tours in nature, exploring an old knight’s castle… there is something for everyone! The hotel is the official partner of the national park Hohe Tauern which gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a ranger tour in the park for free. Every ranger is specialised in a different topic so you and your kids can decide what kind of tour you prefer: butterflies, glaciers, birds, botanic or wildlife tours are being offered. To cool down on hot summer days simply jump into the hotel’s own nature swimming pond or visit lakes and water falls near-by. Indoor swimming pools invite to relax and enjoy on bad weather days.

Children’s university on sustainability

The Strandhotel Kurhaus Juist is a perfect choice for a family vacation on the small East Frisian island of Juist. Located at the miles long sandy beach, you can enjoy long beach walks, build sand castles with your kids or practice some sportive activities such as frisbee or volleyball. The hotel’s own kids club invites kids to play while you enjoy a certified Thalasso treatment. Every year during the summer months the children’s university “Sustainable Living” takes place where kids playfully learn about climate change, climate protection and sustainability. The idea is that kids can take part without their parents.

Getting to know Curaçaos underwater world

The Morena Eco Resort is the only sustainable resort on Curaçao. Decide between a regular hotel room and (especially interesting for families) an apartment. The famous Jan-Thiel beach is in only five minutes walking distance and the extensive salt water pool invites for a swim and romping around. In the Scuba Do Dive Center kids at the age of eight and older can join courses that are suited for children, e.g. the Bubblemaker, Padi Seal Team or Junior Open Water course.

Coming closer to nature

Spend an active holiday with your family in the national park Berchtesgaden, more precisely in Germany’s first mountain climber village Ramsau. A mountain climber village is characterised by gentle tourism, the support for nature protection and sustainable development. The Best Western Hotel Rehlegg is located  in the heart of the national park and welcomes you with a warm and familiar atmosphere as well as a stunning view over the Alps. Your kids will definitely have fun discovering the surrounding nature, e.g. at a deer feeding in Klausbachtal or at the wildlife enclosure at the Oberkälberstein.
