In the restaurant, you will mainly find organic products from local or regional suppliers. Every day, one of them is presented in the hotel’s newspaper. By the way, usually a member of the Lichtmannegger family is present at dinner and can tell you exactly, where the roast pork comes from.
A natural beauty in winter and summer
Whether you decide for snowshoe hiking in winter or mountaineering in summer: in the region surrounding Berghotel Rehlegg, you have countless opportunities to enjoy nature and the good mountain air. For example, you can have a relaxed walk around the nearby Hintersee within 45 minutes.
A trip to and across the fjord-like Königsee is always a highlight: it takes only half an hour by boat to the chapel St. Bartholomä – while you are landing you will have the best view of the postcard scenery. It is also worth a visit in cloudy or foggy weather, because these conditions create an almost mystical atmosphere.
From there, you can follow a nice and easy hiking trail to the ice chapel at the foot of the Watzmann mountain: you will walk through the forest for a while, when it will suddenly open to an impressive view of the Watzmann. The gigantic rock massifs always fascinate me!
