Green dream holiday in the mountains: Dolomit Homes
We love the Dolomites: the mountain scenery as a perfect basis for outdoor activities,the warm-hearted people – and great food. For this very reason, we are happy to welcome the Dolomit Boutique Hotel and the Dolomit Homes in La Villa as a new Green Pearls® member since August 2018. Family tradition: Passionate hosts
Three generations live and work here together for more than 50 years creatingunforgettable vacation memories. The hosts themselves constructed all buildings: energy efficient, eco-friendly, using local wood and wood andsheep’s wool as isolation. While building, it was very important to the family to perpetuate the traditional Ladin style. Everything blends with the landscape naturally. Even for the furnishing and color choice warm and soft materials were used. Due to their experience and love to detail, family Castlunger created a cozy place where you can feel home.
Every hotel room tells its own story, inspired by fruits and spices for room names such as tangerine, olive, cocoa, lime, mocha, and cinnamon, or chocolate and pistachio. You are best accommodated in the Homes/cottages when traveling in a group.
Dolomit Homes: Feel at home
The apartments “La Sajun” and “Les Viles” are suitable for your family vacation and offer a lotof space in the large living room and well-equipped kitchen. Thanks to a large terrace or balcony the rooms are nicely bright. Moreover, you can find a playground in the park for the joy of the smallest guests. If you are staying with friends, the chalet “Mi Amur” is best suited. On more than 180 square meters there is enough space for more than twelve people: five bedrooms, four bathrooms/toilets, and two living areas with fully equipped kitchens. The Dolomit design chalet is particularly beautiful, built by Karl Heinz Castlunger in 2018. You find a very charming haven for two on 130 square meters.
The best thing about the accommodation: no matter if you stay in the hotel or in the cottages, you can enjoy the panoramic view on the beautiful Alta Badia Dolomites from almost all of the rooms. The glowing of the Alps, called “Enrosadira” is spectacular when the mountains are suffused in shades of red during sunrise and sunset – each day again.
Leisure time at its best
The breathtaking mountain scenery does not only look beautiful, but also provides the best basis for great activities: hiking and climbing, paragliding, hang-gliding, trail running, geocaching, horse-riding, or mountain biking – even more thrilling when the view is making you smile. Around youraccommodation, you can swim, relax in the sauna, be active in yoga classes, or play in the huge park, such as Ping-Pong, volleyball, badminton, table football, trampoline, or balance on a slack line. Those are only summer activities – when the Dolomites are covered in white, you are offered much activities in the snow.
Traditional and authentic: dine at “La Tor”
If you love great food and want to spend some time with your family, you willenjoy the restaurant and pizzeria “La Tor” in La Villa/Stern after a long day outside. Here, you can savor homemade food: the chef Walter loves to create new delicacies. Of course, you will also find Ladin and South Tyrolean dishes on the menu. Another highlight is the pizza baked in the wood-stove. Everything is served with an extra portion of warmth to make you feel home.During the main season, Ladin Night including traditional live music takes place every Tuesday, which you should not miss! If you like,the hosts Walter and Inge also serve their delicious “Fondue Bourguignonne.”
